Bryan Clark Hits The Guardian Newspaper

Thu, Sep 11, 2008

News, Video

Just recently I did an interview with the Guardian newspaper, and today is the day that they posted the article.  I am featured in a couple of places, and got quoted a few times for the piece.  If you are in the UK, the article is in print today if you want a copy.  You can also find it on the website here -

Bryan Clark Hits The Guardian

Check it out.  It’s a nice piece, and a pretty good read.  Also a big welcome to those viewing the site from the article.  We have a great group here.  Hope to see some new faces sticking around and mingling with the crowd!

    Hiya Bryan

It’s nice to see your name in print isn’t it ;-).
Funnily enough I found this blog a few days ago, and I think I am just about done reading through every single post.

    Great info,

Hi Clare, and welcome. Yeah, it’s always nice. I’ve been in a few other papers, but the Guardian is by far the biggest, so it’s definitely a plus.

Well done Mr Clark, have to show respect now, can`t call you Brian anymore. The Guardian is one of the more reputable newspapers from the UK. Should only mean good things.

I had no idea Sitepoint does 1.5 million in sales monthly, or that 2,000 plus auctions go up every month. (that is freakin amazing)

Great article. (and 160,000 a year?) Not bad.

    Missy.

So much for hiding that number when people ask huh? It’s my resolution to be even more transparent. I was transparent before, now I’m looking towards invisibility.

I see that you just did some internal SEO, PageRank sculpting but making a lot of your links nofollow. =)

Bryan Clark reply on September 11th, 2008:

This is true. I’m trying to figure out how to make some more of them nofollow, like the about page and such… but I can’t figure it out! Guess I’ll have to hire someone

Breakaway reply on September 11th, 2008:

You can hire me…. or even better, allow me to order, through you, like 20 articles from ur writer. =) Hit me up on Skype and we can discuss it….. or i can just tell you how =)

B, you know you don’t need to hire an SEO. Hit me up if you need my help. We haven’t done lunch in a while either.

Just when my stomach starts to grumble, you mention lunch.

Great article - well done on getting your name in the Guardian. Sadly I’m reading this in the evening (in bed!) or I would have grabbed a copy.

Interesting article except I hadn’t a clue what they were on about. Like: ‘All you need is a computer…and about £10 to get you started, and there’s no limit to how much money you can make’ How? What do you do?

It can be that easy, but there is work involved too. I obviously can’t explain it all to you in a comment, or a blog post. Check out the archives!

I have only just found this blog, but have subscribed etc and will try to comment about the posts (which are great)

The Guardian is pretty big! I would have usually purchased it, but my parents read The Times so got that one…if only I had known lol!

    Congratulations

Greetings from England - I got here after reading yesterday’s Guardian article. Thanks alot for the great insights and hot tips. I’m stuck in a high-pressure voluntary-sector job but planning to escape to Spain - flipping seems like it might help me to pay the rent..!

Even though I’m IT literate, I know nothing about websites and all this jazz… so if you can guide me to any “Flipping for idiots” guides, please let me know! I’m looking for a mentor too if anyone can spare the time…I can repay you in kind - a holiday home in Leicester? Come over for some guitar classes? LOL!
    Thanks again
    Martin
