I’ve been busy beyond belief the past couple of days organizing this contest, trying to attract new sponsors, and trying to maintain what little sanity I had prior to all of this. I wanted to take a quick second to get a post out about a fantastic piece of FREE software that I just found out about. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m not a full-time blogger, site flipper, or a web publisher. I’m a marketer… it’s what I’m good at, and it’s what has been profitable. Although all of the above-mentioned titles fall into the marketing category, it’s what I refer to myself as when people ask that magic question… “So what do you do?”.
Selling products online is fascinating to me. It’s like a challenge that I constantly feel that I have to rise to the occassion for. It’s much different than real-world selling… you don’t get the human interaction. So, I think it’s a great bit of fun to try to match wits with buyers with only a bit of sales copy, a product, and a dream! It’s exhilirating!
Well, products are easy to create. I create ebooks constantly that I resell online in every different niche you can imagine. Most of these are simple 10 page books that explain how to do something (not online, I avoid the MMO niche like the plague when selling products), and they are SUPER easy to create. The hard (and expensive) part for me is creating landing pages to sell these products. I used to have to pay freelancers $100 or more to create a simple html web page because I’m code illiterate. Well, thanks to a product I found today… I don’t have to pay ANYONE, anymore!
I got this gem in my email inbox this morning and signed up as soon as I watched the demo video. It’s absolutely free, so there is nothing to lose! Give it a try, and start creating your own sales pages today.

As you might have discovered (from my G34 Media blog) im writing a book, and although i plan on marketing it via an online publisher. It cannot hurt to have as many distribution options as possible, such as creating a site just for the book.
Will take a look at the landing page site you refer to above. Thanxs for the tip! (love that it is free, im cheap as heck)
Missy.

Cheers for this…. I still have not used Landing pages for anything but am currently involved in an affiliate marketing workshop over at Click Consultants forum. They are giving me a bunch of landing pages but I think I will split test with 1 or 2 of these.
Cheers…. I’m really looking forward to the site flip by the way and will have lots of questions.

This is what i came up with from the landing page site:
http://randombloggingtips101.blinkweb.com/
I got distracted as usual, and instead of creating a sales letter, i ended up creating a regular site with a blog. Arrggg! It is a cool tool and simple to use. But come to think of it, I don’t think it offers anything different than WP though.
What do you think of my quickie site?
[Reply]
Bryan Clark reply on June 26th, 2008:
I think it looks awesome! That’s quite a piece of work you’ve done. And it doesn’t offer anything “different” than Wordpress, but as you can see, it’s not something you’d have to set up on each domain that you’d have a landing page on either. Plus you wouldn’t want a theme on a landing page for an offer… well, not a Wordpress theme anyway.
PB, get to creating a Wordpress landing page them! That’s your million dollar idea!

Bryan Clark reply on June 27th, 2008:
Sounds like a plan Jay. But remember, don’t register before July 1st or you won’t be eligible for the prizes! And yes, this is definitely a fun bunch of people!
[Reply]
Jay reply on June 27th, 2008:
Will do (register the contest entry blog July 1st), but what I meant is, in order to enter, the number 2 step is to:
“Post about this on your blog, and link back to this post”
So I’ll whip up a blog to post on for my entry. lol. I thought maybe I’d document the success you’re going to lead me toward on a separate site
Question: Will entrants be showing everyone their blogs during the contest?

A Piss Biscuit (noun)- see urinal cake.
Urinal Cake (noun)- the small disinfectant blocks found in urinals.
The purpose of these blocks is to disinfect and deodorize washroom urinals. Placed above the urinal drain, they are air-activated and slowly evaporate when in contact with the air. Since they do not dissolve in water, they do not deodorize the flushing water and urine.
They are usually cylindrical — about eight centimeters in diameter, two centimeters thick, and weigh about one hundred grams when new. This shape is the source of their more informal name (toilet Cookie, Piss Biscuit, or trough lollies), as they somewhat resemble small blocks. They are generally pink in color, although other colors, such as green, blue and white, are seen. Several companies are currently in the process of adding a computer chip to the center of the cakes for use in taverns that would be motion activated and would inform users of the dangers of driving while intoxicated.
The chemicals composing the block may vary. The base is commonly pure paradichlorobenzene or naphthalene. The block’s functionality is enhanced by saturating it with a scenting compound, such as cherry, and quaternary ammonium compounds. Urinal blocks of the size listed above and made of this chemical usually last 30–60 days.

Hey
I have a blog but it’s just my personal one that had died quicker than it started because I’ve stayed so busy trying to make money. lol
Real world projects, baby + family stuff set me back for a while as well, but I’m back online 12+ hours a day now, so I might be able to squeeze in more “personal blogging”

Hey Bryan, thanks for sharing this tool.
I want to ask you about the ebooks you create. Do you write them yourself, outsource or do you use any similar tool like blinkweb? And which price do you think would be fair for a short ebook like that?
May I contact you privately to see if you have some advice for an ebook product for a blog I own?
[Reply]
Bryan Clark reply on June 30th, 2008:
I write all the ebooks that I sell personally. I have dabbled a bit with buying them off sitepoint for a few hudred dollars, but I get the best results from my own stuff.
[Reply]
Bryan Clark reply on June 30th, 2008:
Sure, contact me and we’ll see what you’ve got.
As far as ebooks go, I generally write my own. I’ve tried to market ones that I’ve bought on sitepoint for a few hundred bucks, but they never work out for me as well as my own stuff.
