Title: What Happens When Someone Re-negs On An Auction Bid?
Post by: iheartmissy on August 10, 2008, 07:23:15 PM
My flip blog didn't sell, as the bidder is MIA. What a jackhole. What recourse do i have, if any?

It sucks!

Missy, you'll need to report him to sitepoint admins by sending them an email.  They'll allow you to relist your auction for free, and most likely they'll ban the non-paying bidder.

Thanxs, Bryan. Will try that. Sounds good.

Glad to help.  Sadly, this happens a lot more often that I'd like.  But it's better than Paypal fraud right?

It's infinitely better than Paypal fraud. If anything i lose $10 on the SP listing fee. I just hope it doesn't happen too often.

Update:
I basically had to send an email to SP proving i had emailed my bidder. I sent the proof email, and was refunded the credits to re-list blog. Which i plan to do.

So if you get a non-paying bidder, send a PM on SP and let them know what happened, they will assist you. Don't leave a public message, this is frowned upon.
